Dr Scott Cumming
Sydney Veterinary Anaesthesia is owned and operated by Dr. Scott Cumming.
Dr. Cumming is a Registered Anaesthesia Specialist, a veterinarian with over 20 years’ experience, and is a Diplomate of the ECVAA in veterinary anaesthesia.
Dr. Cumming graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005 with First Class Honours. After practicing in small animal medicine for a number of years in Australia and the United Kingdom, Scott discovered a passion for anaesthesia. In 2013 Scott was admitted by examination to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the Chapter of Anaesthesia and Critical Care.
In 2021 Scott completed a three-year European College of Anaesthesia and Analgesia specialist training residency program at the University of Sydney, and was admitted by examination as a Diplomate of the European College of Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Scott has published multiple peer-reviewed papers and has given seminars and training sessions to vets and nurses throughout Australia and in a number of countries around the world including the USA, UK, Japan, Taiwan, and South Africa.
Dr Eduardo Uquillas
Dr. Eduardo Uquillas, BVM MV DACVAA, is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA), and is a recognized specialist and consultant with a proven track record of clinical and academic excellence built over many years of dedicated practice.
Dr. Uquillas brings extensive clinical experience from a residency program across the University of Sydney, University of Pennsylvania, and Small Animal Specialist Hospital Sydney. He has leveraged this experience to successfully train three veterinary anaesthesia residents and numerous interns.
Dr. Uquillas is also the Head of Anaesthesia at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
He actively advances the field through peer-reviewed research and publication and maintains active professional membership in organizations including the ACVAA, AVA, NAVAS and SAVECH.
